Chick wont open one eye

My 24 hr old chick wont open his right eye, what do I do??? He seems fine otherwise, but he may have scratched it when he was hatching last night he had a little bit of a hard time trying to push the egg shell off, and his nails kept getting close to his eye ball, maybe he scratched it then?

I am no expert, but I would leave it in there, unless it is bleeding or oozing. It should clear up with time. That is what I would do in your situation, although I would also be in a panic, too.
