chick is out. I am not sure why it couldn't get out. The membrane seemed a little tough around the zip, so maybe that was it. Like Mahonri suggested in another thread, I carefully picked off the shell from the top of the egg until its head was free. Then I put it back in the bator and it popped out. It is in there peeping really loudly. Seems healthy. I will watch it. It looks like a rooster. Huge feet and head.
