Chick zipping wrong and membrane looks discolored

Yeah she could but it depends, usually if they zip like that it’s because they’re stuck to a dried membrane. Did the humidity drop at any point during hatching?

If it’s beak is opening and closing rapidly still then it’s still absorbing its yoke
Hard to tell what the heck she's doing..Beak only pops out for a quick second and can't really see in too much :/

To the best of my knowledge humidity has stayed pretty much right about 70

So would I continue her zip line, or zip where she should have?

I usually pull a piece of shell off where I last saw the beak. Not a large piece, but big enough that you can see inside better with a flashlight. That way, you can tell if she's opening and closing her mouth, and therefore, still absorbing yolk.

Well I did it! Whew, I hope I never have to do that again! But at least I was prepared thanks to BYC! She was completely ready to hatch, blood vessels were receded, yolk was fully absorbed, she was just plain stuck in the wrong position..My only worry now is that she maybe got chilly, but fingers crossed that all will be ok! Thank you everyone for your responses, I appreciate it!
