Greetings to all
Someone suggested that I join and I did. I am totally totally new to wanting chickens. Never have done this but I suppose my farming ancestors’ genes are peeping. I am a single 60-something mom with a forever home for adopted kids, dogs and cats. I have 3 kids and another young man living here with me, 12, 16, and 2 18 year olds. My daughter is 12. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I’m somewhat a prexpert, stocked as best I can ready. I want to have chicken with 3 big boys and my daughter bringing up the rear — they eat eggs like they are drinking water around here. I also enjoy cooking as well. I’m trying to be as self-sustainable as possible for health and economical reasons. Biggest challenge is a rent for now so I am exploring best options for a coop. However I am here to learn so I get the best positive outcomes on this new chicken run
