Okay, so I'll get my duck eggs this week, and I have the Chickcozy incubator (which I really, really love, but it incubates the eggs vertically intrays).

I read that incubating duck eggs vertically was not the best and some had pretty bad hatch rate in comparison to hatching on their side.

I've had really good results with chicken eggs, but I hesitate to put the duck eggs in the tray, I would be tempted to put them at the bottom and turn them manually 4 times a day instead.

Any thoughts??

I’m unsure about vertical vs horizontal incubation, but I’ve always done horizontal, ‘cause it seems more natural.

I’ve read if you do manual turning, you’ll want to turn an odd number of times per day (3, 5, 7, etc.).
An even number makes them more likely to stick to the shell, because it means they’re resting on the same side overnight, every night.

Oh, that makes sense ! Thanks for the tip 😊
