I watch the incubation machine with apprehension. I've candled one egg to test and not see any red lines so far.

A friend of a friend gave me 6 little chicks and a hen that I've named Henrietta. I got them June 14, 2022. I don't know their breeds; all I know is that
they are chickens. I've searched the internet to find out their breeds, but I was not successful because I was looking for the exact chicken. I think my chickens are of mixed chickenhood. Egg colors are dark brown, pale brown, white, and blue-green. I enjoy observing their behavior I've named them! After having 3 golden retrievers, the chickens are now our pets. I am retired from Federal service, love to garden, solve crossword puzzles, and travel. My husband is retired from the USN. Question: Is an unfertilized egg still good to eat after 21 days in the incubator?

Yes, I'll take pics and post. Re eggs in incubation, it's my first time to do it and I'm on day 8. I watch the incubation machine with apprehension. I've candled one egg to test and not see any red lines so far. If I have unhatched egg at day 21, I'll bury it deeply in my vegetable garden.

Can you post some candled pictures of your eggs?
