911 HELP... I went out to put my cornish chickens away and I found one covered in blood. I brought her in the house and it look like she was pecked in back of the neck by maybe one of my layers... What do I do? the bleeding has stopped but the front of her is covered in blood.... alot of it is clotted into her feathers... I got the big chunks out with a baby wipe n wiped her with a warm cloth what else should I do?

I would bathe her then blow dry with hair dryer. Keep her in dog carrier/kennel in warm place overnight and until healed so they don't peck at the bloody spot.

Put some antibiotic ointment (no painkiller kind) on would after washing it out with water. If you have Blu kote you can spray that on before putting the ointment on.

If you don't have anything on hand except hydrogen peroxide, that would be ok for ONE time use (it inhibits wound healing when used repeatedly). The would really does need the antibiotic ointment I believe, though.

I don't have meaties though and so cannot really tell you how to manage the flock in that regard.
