Hello, I’m a bit worried about one of my chickens, her name is Apple. She is suddenly acting very tired, like she will still run over to me when I go outside but she isn’t as energetic as she was. I have 6 chickens including her and she is the only one acting this way. She is just over 3 years old. She is puffed up and has her head close to her chest and sometimes just stands around doing nothing. She is still eating and drinking but not as much as normal. Her poos are runny and stuck to her bum, I gave her a bath and got as much off as I could but it has happened again. Her comb is still red, isn’t pale or droopy. As she had been in the coop with my other 5 I don’t think she has laid any eggs for 2 days (there has only been 5 eggs in the coop and I think it’s her that’s not laying) I have a vet appointment but couldn’t get her in until Friday so any help on what I can do at home to get her better until then would be appreciated as I don’t want to lose her. Thankyou

Sounds good. Also, are her eyes and nostrils clear?
Yes yes her eyes and nostrils are clear and her feathers comb and wattle look healthy it’s just her bum that looks bad, would you recommend I give her another warm bath? I gave her one yesterday, I can try attach a photo of her?

I would give her a human calcium tablet or a Tums orally right into her beak. Then clean up her vent area, and use some warm soapy water to clean her up.

Calcium citrate +D3 is best. Citracal or its generic equivalent is fine, generic is cheaper. Any grocery or store that carries vitamins/ supplements will have it, it's for people. She can swallow it whole no problem. Easiest to give while on the roost so you don't have to chase her. Just pull down on wattles to open beak and poke it in there. Can give it up to once a day for a week.
