My hen was standing in the yard kind of butt pointed down. Acting like she is kind of choking. Like bobbing her neck and arching it puffing out her feathers. I have taken her into the house. She is trying to make noises, but can't. She keeps dozing. Is this normal? I'll try to post a video to youtube in a minute.
She's also refusing food.

Gape worms - they use crop to live.

Rooster Booster makes a top dressing wormer that is used once a month. I prefer this because breaking down math for a small flock is dangerous if miscalculated. Go see. You will like. I also give a panicur every 6 months for Gape worms because its ingredient is about only thing that kills them. Lots of reaearch online about Gape worms and probably here as well.

For now...

If you have panicur wormer for horses in tube or can get at a feed store available, give each bird a just under a pea sized amount daily for about 3 days. Treat this case immediately then maintain with Rooster Booster.

Yep no room in crop and they are feeding off what she does keep in crop.

If I have a bad case, I will clean out the crop with activated charcoal or at least try. I don’t know what others think about that.
