Chicken acting like it's laid ?

Hi, I've got an old lady (4 years old) an ex battery, she's suddenly taken to sitting in coop then announcing she's laid an egg, which she hasn't, she struts about shouting but there's definitely no egg. She's eating/drinking and is first in line when treats come out. The other girls go out across the fields but not her. It's really odd behaviour anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

I have a hen with some sort of laying issue. She maybe lays 6 eggs a year? But she is also a faker who goes through bouts of sitting in a box and singing about it without actually laying anything. She just likes to feel included....
