Our 7 month old lavendar ameracauna is acting not right today. She is sitting away from other chickens, laying down. She is eating grapes when offered and a little food but mostly her tail has been down. We noticed a little wetness under her beak. We checked for sour crop and she did lay an egg yesterday . Worried . Any suggestions?

So update: she laid egg late yesterday so not seems like she is egg bound. She is eating and drinking and we are now thinking injury as she is limping and tail is down. She was isolating herself so we have moved her to her old coop to be isolated and not trampled by her friends. She seems fine except she does not move much and a limp on her left legs. No sour crop, no bumble foot we can see. Confused?

Sounds to me like it may just be a leg injury. I'd just let her rest for a couple days and see how she does.

She definitely is injured. Left foot or leg. We examined no bumble foot or issues we can see. She is drinking electrolytes and eating lightly. She is isolated and is not walking much. Poop is normal. Mouth breathing . Red comb. What do I do? Will she heal on her own if we nurse her from leg injury

Can she walk at all?
I'd let her rest for a couple days and see how she's doing then.

Is she putting her sore leg down, or holding it up to her body? Do you see any green bruising, redness, or swelling along the leg up to the hip? A short video of her getting around, uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo with a link posted here could help.

I do not see much. I will try and get a video if I can
