Chicken acting not right

I'd inspect the leg for bruising, a bump or uneven area that may indicate a break.

If it's not swollen, you can try stabilizing the leg by wrapping it with some sports wrap, but it's a must that you monitor the wrappings at least a couple of times a day to make sure they are not too tight or the leg is not swelling up.

The Marek's vaccine does not prevent infection from the virus, so birds often can and do become symptomatic and present with leg issues or various other forms of the disease. The vaccine can help reduce the formation of tumors on internal organs.

She seems very healthy besides the leg issue. Even now , very alert , just hurting.Bright eyes . Poop is normal, breathing normal , talking to us calmly in her normal way. She is drinking and eating on her own. Would that be the case with Marek? It happened in the coop at night. We have recently introduced younger birds and one is very flighty. I am assuming she got hurt .

If she is holding the leg up, that sounds more like an injury. But she is at an age where Mareks symptoms can appear, they usually will try to put weight on the bad leg, but it seems numb or useless. Using the wings to help balance and walk is common with both injuries and Mareks. I would keep her separated inside a dog crate or pen with her own food and water, to force her to rest the leg if it is injured. Let us know how she does. It may also help to give her 1/4 tablet daily of human vitamin B complex which can be crushed in food or a spoonful of water.
Can you tell me the dose of vitamin b ? Human or chicken vitamin b and what milligrams?

I would just treat is as injury.

There's no real treatment for Marek's, most just offer supportive care and vitamin therapy, keep the bird comfortable, eating/drinking. But to answer your question, yes, many people have reported a bird eating/drinking well only to find out later through testing/necropsy that Marek's was the cause of decline. The disease is confusing at best, but if she's been clamoring around and stress is high in the coop, injury is a real possibility.

Thank you . Yes it seems to be more injury like as it is on the left side primarily. We have her confined to a small area with food and water close. Nature will do what nature needs to do. We will try and help Bella rest and heal. If she does not, she was just not strong enough and we do not want her to struggle and not be a happy chicken. Positive thoughts and vibes for her healing

Bella just laid this egg! She is quite a trooper. Thinking just an injured leg. Getting up more today

Beautiful egg
So is she walking better now?
Getting up a little more but her left leg is not doing well. Right is fine. I am hoping time and rest will heal her. She has dark gray and black legs so difficult to see any bruising . She is curling her toes to hold on to my husband’s hand with that foot, so I feel that is a good sign
