I'm on my last hope here. I have an Americauna who started walking really slow then not coming out of coop and preferred to sit in nesting box. That was about 4 days ago. She's had this kind of not feeling great behavior before and when we gave her Nutri-drench in water a couple days, she was then fit as could be. Here are her symptoms- started with wings drooping and progress walking more slowly and even sometimes having to use her wing if she stumbled. Treated and looked for mites; none. Today I've been treating her for being egg bound; warm bath with epson salts, dropper full of Nutri-drench plus 1cc of liquid Calcium Magnesium Citrate, followed by vegetable oil at vent and placed in warm cage on towel over heating pad. After 3rd round in the tub, I did a thorough probe into her backside and there is no egg in there. She's become super skinny, her breast bone is pronounced. Have had to force feed her water with eye dropper for days. She'll eat berries and food but not much of that, but noting that she has "some" appetite. Any other suggestions? :fl

I'm sorry to hear about your hen.
When you feel her abdomen - is there any bloat/swelling or feeling of fluid?
Is her crop empty in the mornings?
How old is she?
When was her last egg?
Did you feel inside the vent for an egg?
She may have a reproductive disorder like Internal Laying, Egg Yolk Peritonitis, cancer, tumors or Salpingitis. Some symptoms include - lethargy, weight loss in the breast, loose droppings, sometimes swelling or fluid in the abdomen, difficulty walking and labored breathing.

If you can get a fecal float to rule out worms that would be a good idea.

Let us know how she is.
