I have a chicken that’s egg bound. I’m following the steps in this link. I’ve lubed her interior. I’ve given two calcium tablets. I’ve put her in warm water and dried her off. Thirty minutes have passed and nothing. It says if nothing happens after an hour, do it again. It’s 9:40 pm.
She’s complaining. She and her coop mates have gone back and forth with what sounds like egg song. She’s pacing in her separated cage. I sure hope that egg passes. She’s the newest layer of the bunch, and her eggs are still small. I tried feeling the egg from underneath to see if I could manipulate it towards the vent, but I can’t tell what I’m feeling. It’s not like feeling through human skin.
