Chicken addiction!

Told you you would get no help here.

But it is not a bad addiction.

LOL, I have no hope. I think the living in the city with laws thing may help. Thought I still think we should be able to have 12 not 6 because we are two households!

I'm joining the ranks of the addicted. I started with 9 hens a few weeks ago and I'm already thinking about 3 more chicks from the feed store March 1! I told myself I was going to learn with the adults first and think about chicks next spring. Oh well, when jumping in, it's best to jump with both feet and in the deep end right?

Thats my theory.

I did used to breed, show, and hand raise cockatiels, At one point I had 30 birds. Had to sell them because of my son's asthma ( we kept one pair, but did not breed them), So things like having food in their crop etc, was not new. Chickens are much easier than cockatiels. They have to be handfed if you get them at 1 day, but if you breed a yellowcheek chick and it doesn't make it, it is a bigger loss (money wise).
