I am so new to this. Was given 5 Hens, for eggs only, (could not kill anything) and one rooster. My coop is 3' x 4' interior space. There are 8 nesting boxes. They have access to the outside runs all day. Never locked in. Run is 30' x 6'. Am getting offered 2 more chickens and am wondering if I have enough room. The run is totally covered to keep them cool in summer including misters, and to keep any predators out. I live in southern Nevada so not too worried about them getting too cold in winter. But will still cover with frost cloth to be sure. So first question. Do I have enough room for two more? Second question. Do I just put them together right away? Or do I have to introduce them first. The introduction part would be kind of hard because I have no area that I can partition off. They were all free range before I got them so hopefully will not have keep separate. Thank you for your time and any advice for this old broad............
We are glad you joined our flock!

So in your case, I wouldn't add more.
