Hello Everyone!
I am super excited to join this group! I am raising my second round of chicks this year. When I began with my chickens, I had started with six 14 year old week hens. They recently (over the winter) aged out of laying and passed away over the years. I raised three chicks that my children raised from school, from a local farm, and we have one adult rooster left (rainbow... named by my boys!)! We also have two (male and female) Indian Runner Ducks that are amazing!! She (Quackers) just started laying!
I am now raising eight mixed breed chicks... that should be pullets! They are five weeks old tomorrow! I have two leghorns, two ISA browns, one "possible" Ameraucana (not sure if it is a roo or a pullet?!?), one silver laced Wyandotte, one orpington and one australorp!
I joined this group to learn more about chickens and ducks and stay up to date! Any type of info is super helpful and appreciated!
