Chicken and eggs!?!?

I have sex link chickens, and one that is looking like and Easter Egger. The sex links are 4 black and 5 red, my dad swears that these are the best for egg laying, is he right? I am very excited to have fresh eggs, but start getting worried I didn't get good chickens for laying. How do I know which breed they reall are???

I have both the red and black sexlink....they started laying at about 17 weeks and yes they are bred to lay eggs....they are egg laying machines...my avatar is a black sexlink roo...i will put my pics of both on here....if you are worried about yours after my pics post pics of yours and people here on BYC will let you know what you have

I can't get pictures to upload to here. Which sucks. I have seen pictures that others have put on and that has helped a bit to figure out what breed the 1 that is different is.
