Chicken (and Turkey) eggs - Need help!

We just got some eggs yesterday and I think we might have screwed up a bit. So, we went and got them from a guy who had kept them in his fridge (at 55 degrees and they are pretty fresh) which I've read is okay, then transported them in a warm cooler but when we got them in the incubator the temperature spiked for some reason and it went past a 100 degrees, maybe a 103-105 for max of an hour, I don't know exactly. Also, they are about 18 in there, 6 turkey and 12 chickens. I was wondering if I might have harmed any with the temperature spike or if too many eggs in one incubator is a bad thing (they do all have air flowing in between and the dimensions are about 12"x12")?

I don't think the eggs were harmed. You'll see temp spikes often after adding eggs. That does not reflect the internal temp of the eggs, only the air temp. It spikes in an attempt to get everything to the right temperature.

thanks this is my first time with both eggs and hatchlings. Reading can only tell me so much.
