It's been a while since I've been on, great to be back. Any way, the reason for starting this thread comes on a more downward note.
I had some of the birds that passed recently sent in for a biopsy to see what might have been the culprit. Turns out some died for Infectious Bronchitis, some of other things, but among all victims were traces of what is called the Chicken Anemia Virus (CAV). This virus weakens the chickens' immune system, making them susceptible to any number or various sicknesses, often worsening the symptoms of any disease or diseases that they catch. For example, say a chicken gets a little congestion form a cold, chances are high they could die form it.
Now CAV is harmless in and of itself, but coupled with any other sickness, it can be deadly. I have tried researching vaccinations and/or remedies for it, but have been unsuccessful so far in finding an actual thing I can purchase to help fight this virus.
Could anyone help me out with this?
