chicken antibiotic question

The Dr I took my marans too gave me an antibiotic for her but I am a little reluctant because it is just a precation she just has a little inflamation from being chocked by a pellet....

The antibiotic is Trimethoprim Sulfa 50 mg/ml does this have long term side affects for her? or anything like that? Thanks to all who gave there input last night for her....

She is doing better today..

I don't know anything about this antibiotic, or the problem with your hen, but I would think he wouldn't have given it to her if it would cause problems long term. If she's laying age, I'd not eat the eggs for a couple of week, though. Maybe try doing a search on the antibiotic.
