I just let my chickens out of their coop for the first time to let them graze in the yard, and one of the hens found a rubber worm. I tried to approach her and take it away, but when she saw me coming she gobbled it up quickly. Has anyone had this or something similar to this happen before? Will she just pass it through or should I somehow try and retrieve the worm?

There's not really much you can do to retrieve the worm short of forcing her to regurgitate--which probably won't help at this point. The most I can think of is give her some olive oil, hopefully it will help it slide out of the crop.

Chickens eat a lot of--interesting things. Keep an eye on her, but if it wasn't a huge worm, she should be okay.

Good luck!
