Personally I prefer to feed mine pellets! They're not to fussy what I feed them but I draw the line at elastic bands!
Glad it came out though. They can be quick when they think something tasty is on offer!

These hens of mine are well fed and so spoiled, they even pick through treats! I have no idea why she thought of eating that thing.

Your lucky it didn't get 'reingested'. Mine had roundworms a while back when I first saw one, a chicken saw it quicker than me and promptly swallowed it ! They are such lovely animals!
