Hey guys this forum is a little weird but, my chicken ate a baked hot cheeto. A few days ago I was cleaning out my pantry. I found an open bag of baked hot cheetos. So, I went to go thow it away. I guess one fell out or something. Today, my naked neck chicken swallowed a full hot cheeto. I don't know if she'll be okay or if she won't so please help. Thanks in advance.

Birds cannot taste the "hot" in hot spices. In fact the pepper plants developed the Capsaicin - the stuff that tastes hot - to protect their fruits from being eaten by mammals who would crush and digest the seeds. Birds won't harm the seeds, distribute them further away and fertilize them. Just a twist that we human mammals like to torture us with spicy stuff…
Your chicken has enjoyed its snack, i'm sure! Just don't let them have too much of that stuff, it contains a lot of salt. My ducks love crushed red peppers mixed into their food and eat jalapeño peppers with a goofy smile…
