I wasn't sure which chicken or chickens ate the poison , The poison was inside one of those traps that the mice can't get out of once they go in and when I the front of the coop got plowed this );winter the trap got smashed and the packet came out and I never saw it until I was cleaning up it got dark so I left the pile of old hay until the next day I let them out than let my cows out came back to pick up the pile and there was the poison sitting on top with the wrapper torn and a corner gone ! by the afternoon only 1 chicken looked funny beak open eyes looked like she was dizzy but she fell when she ran but no blood in her poop and she was fine by night time I also check where she roosted at night no blood either Now
... what about the eggs so I sent a email to TOM CAT mouse poison here is what they said, Sorry for the missed spelling I was a little panic at the time but I thought everyone should read this because if you have chickens you got mice and /or rats.
Greetings,
If the chicken only ate a little bit it should be just fine. The bait is an anticoagulant so if there was any
poisoning you would see blood in the egg and the chicken might bleed. But from so little ingested this
is very unlikely. Eating a mouse would also be no problem.
I hope that helps.
