Somehow my 4 wk old hen got out of her well protected coup while I was away for 30 min. A very young and small cat attacked her and appears to have bit her in the back. this was yesterday at 5 pm. I found her, checked her wound but did not clean, covered her and have been trying to get her to drink , but not forcing, ever since. She is very weak but it is 12 hrs later and she is still breathing. Don't know what to do at this stage.

Clean the wound with saline. Apply neosporin (without pain relief). Keep her warm and offer food and water.
