I figured it was fat after I calmed and was able to think more clearly. Thank you for reassuring meHi @Adrien515 I see you recieved some great advice from @Eggcessive on your other thread here : https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/injury-please-help.1192445/
fwiw- you mentioned "strange yellow balls on to breast" on both threads and did not get an answer to what that was - looking at the photos I think what you are seeing is fatty tissue (fat).
I hope she recovers![]()
thank you. the website is very helpfulI agree with everything said in both threads. Just wanted to pass on this link with lots of pictures of the healing process and what it will look like. Best of luck and hope she recovers.

The poor thing just died several minutes ago. I took her out to cleanse her wounds and apply some more medicine, and noticed she was weaker. She wasn't standing on her legs, just leaning on her side. I figured it was because she was weak from the trauma from yesterday. I was placinf her back in the dog kennel I set up in my room, and I won't go into details but she's had what I think was a stroke, and died in seconds. I had already grown an attachment to her and she will be missed. She had a quick death.View attachment 1107636 View attachment 1107633 Hey, my mother's boyfriend brought over this chicken early this morning, saying his dog had attacked it and was toying with it. I checked out the poor things body and the only thing I found was patches where the top layer of skin was gone, and bare spots everywhere. So far I've washed it off in the bathtub (it was extremely dirty) and sprayed Vetericyn Plus Poultry Care on all its wounds. Am I good or is there anything else I missed/should do? Maybe soak its body in water and epsom salt? I did that for my roo that had bumblefoot. just any idea on what I can do would help.

She may have. I didn't see any symptoms of it though, like wheezing or fluids coming out the nose or mouth. But who knows. So sorry to hear of your lose. Could she have had internal injuries you just had no way of knowing about? Sounds like you did all you could to save her.
