I will do. She's staying downstairs tonight. It's unfinished, but there's a heater to keep it warm on down there, and I'm sure I'm not going to sleep. I've been a mess all day about this.

So sorry! We recently had a pair of loose dogs run onto our property and grab a guinea cock. I was so sad and angry when that guinea died. Best of luck that your hen recovers quickly.

It may not be universal, but when my Brahma girl got injured she really seemed to snap out of her shock when I gave her electrolyte water.

This morning I treated her wounds some more. Her eye was still closed, so I gently opened it which she didn't seem to mind. I didn't see any damage, but I'm going to keep a close eye on it. Honestly though, I think she's going to be okay.

What a nice photo of you two!
She looks alert! Sometimes when they have a shock and are wounded, they seem to "shut down" just a bit (we likely would too). I'm hoping with your supportive care and a few days, she will be just fine.
