Chicken attacked by Dog

This is one drawback of blu kote, can't really see the injury well.
I personally would not put her back with the others yet. It still looks too fresh. It doesn't appear to have scabbed over yet. I would discontinue the blu kote, just use an antibiotic ointment. Apply two or three times a day to keep it covered with the ointment and moist. Keeping it moist will help with healing. I would not bandage it, leave it open to the air. Feathers that are getting in the wound I would trim back with some small scissors to help keep it clean.

Thank you so much! We decided to put her out with the flock but in her own little area that they can't get to. At least they'll see each other and they'll know that the queen is back LOL.
I'll make sure she's healing up nicely before I let them back together. I would normally wait another week or so but with the drastic dip in temps in the next week, it's now or never.
