...too many treats period is bad. 2 of my all time favorite worse treats are bread and corn. Stop all treats and only feed a complete chicken feed and offer grit and oyster she'll on the side and you will have much healthier chickens.

I just went and got a bag of grit and I will stop all treats except some kale and lettuce from the garden. I hope this is the issue. Thanks!!

How about the grey liquid that was in the crop? Is this normal?

The gray liquid was probably there because the intestines had shut down.

So far doing good!! No more deaths. Everyone seems healthy. I have stopped all table scraps except veges and fruit. I just had a broody hatch 9 baby chicks. Thanks for asking.
