Chicken Barier

I live in Brooklyn NY. While my backyard is relatively large for the local area, my chickens (3 hens) feel its too small. I have a small coop and run, in the corner of a 10ft x 10ft fenced area. adjacent to our properties an empty lot that is a half junkyard. its full of over grown weeds and trashed vehicles. my hens like to climb onto the wall that separates our properties.

Lately they have been jumping from the wall onto a van that is about a foot away from the wall and im worried about what can happen to them outside of my yard.

I want to put an invisible barrier or a deterrent, any ideas?

Sounds like you need to build them a covered run.

they have a covered run. but then there is a gated area for them to move around.

You may need to cover that area too...is that the 10x10 area?

no pics now but the coop is about 2x2 and the run is about 2x10. that is along the wall we share with the other property. and the 10x10 gated are includes this

I know space is at a premium but that's not enough coop or run space for 3, which is probably why they're wandering off your lot.

Can you put netting over the entire 10x10 space? That will at least keep them from getting out.
