We decided to trade/sell one of our Silver Spangled Hamburgs tomorrow at a chicken meetup. Hamburgs are flighty, and we need something small and friendly for our daughter to start out with in 4h. Since we had a muddy spring and the birds have a lot of white feathering, I decided to give her a quick bath. I was sitting on the couch after the bath with Light Bulb (the kid named her) wrapped up in a warm towel. My daughter decided that she HAD to feed the bird some string cheese. She was feeding her for awhile, and Light Bulb was getting comfy and full. She fed Light Bulb one last piece, and then bent over and bit off the other end of the piece! I wish I could see inside my daughter's head sometimes...apparently that was a good idea to a four year old.
