Chicken baths?

So there are bird baths. If I put a low tub of water out (especially in this heat) will my chickens bath in it?

Nope. BUT, they absolutely live for dirt baths. Yes, they bathe in the dirt. You can even offer them sand or some other fine substance that they can roll around in and flip up onto their backs and they will be in Heaven.

They will adore a nice, cool dust bath! You'll enjoy watching it, too. They go into a funny trance & roll around on their backs. It's quite entertaining!
