why mother hen just started picking on one of her 6 week old chicks? she chases it away but let the others hang with her?

Might be something 'wrong' with the one chick?
6 weeks is prime time for a broody to wean her chicks.

I have serperated the chicks from the mom I hated seeing her be so mean to it. As in wrong what do you mean? sick?

Could be sick or injured.
Broody weaning the chicks can be/appear brutal....but it's natural.
Have no clue about your flock and management techniques.
Was the broody and her chicks in with the flock?

I thought I had lost her along with 4 other hens and 1 roster to a fox attack. She came out of hiding about 25 days later with the 3 chicks So it’s only them.

Usually the one she will pick on first is a cockerel and the little pullets will be safe for another few days.
