Yesterday I got two pullets from my friend and I noticed that one had a cloudy eye and the other eye was getting foggy too. She didn't notice before but I did some little tests with objects and the one eye is for sure blind.

Is there a way to stop the other eye from also turning blind? And if there isn't any way could someone tell me how to care for a blind chicken?

Thanks.

Look at both of these possibilities.
The first is an eye worm infestation.
The second possibility in ocular Marek's Disease.
Is there any way to stop that? Is it fatal?

I was just reading about Marek's Disease. How to you cure that? It's contagious, right? I have a avian vet nearish to me that I could bring her to if it gets too far.

I have a flock of 34 chickens and I don't want to have 34 blind chickens to take care of. They're in a separate pen right now but in the same room as 8 chicks (over 10 weeks). Would it be any concern to them?

Could you post pictures of both eyes? It may depend on the cause. Cloudy eyes and cataracts can result from high ammonia fumes in coops, vitamin E or A deficiency, from being exposed to a virus caused avian encephalomyelitis (AE,) from eye infections, or from pecking. Grey color of the iris with pinpoint or mishaped pupils can be a sign of Mareks disease. Chickens can frquently do okay with one eye, but a totally blind chicken would have a hard life. Sorry about your chicken.

I could do that this afternoon. Probably around 1. Since she came from my friend I really have no idea what the coop and everything was like sadly. The pupils. don't seem to me misshaped to me.

With the 1st chicken you can barely see the blindness in the 2nd eye starting but in real life it’s more obvious.

The 2nd bird’s one eye is a bit cloudy and the other eye seems like it’s almost completely black. Also it seems to be sightless too.

Yes, I see what you are talking about. Without knowing the conditions and air quality, or any history of illness, I can't say what caused it. It does not look like Mareks to me, which is a food thing. Have you talked to your friend about the eyes? I would try to return them to her, and get some healthy chicks from a hatchery.

I'll ask her next time I see her. Or I might be able to call too. That's good. I was getting worried that it was Mareks. If I were to return them, they would be slaughtered. The reason they came here is because she didn't think it was worth the drive to slaughter them because they're not laying too much anymore. Is there a way to stop the blindness from spreading?

If it was caused by ammonia fumes, then good air circulation is key. Find out what she was feeding. Feed them a good quality flock raiser feed if they are not laying, or layer feed if they are.
