Chicken boken leg?

this morning i came outside and found are smallest chicken peep stuck in the wire fence the wire went all the way through the leg like on the part that bends she hops on one foot and i keep trying to make her laydown but she keeps getting up its sort of bloody what should i do with it this has never happend to one of my chickens:/ please help. Thanks

If you haven't already done so, you need to seperate the injured one from the rest of the flock or they will go after the bloody spot. Are you sure it is broken and not just cut really bad? I would pour some peroxide on the cut area to bubble out any debris, ect. If it is still bleeding a lot, you can use something to stop it, I have heard of some people using cornstarch to staunch the bleeding, then followed with some neosporin, without the pain relief. If necessary, maybe a light wrap of gauze. Good luck on your baby.
