Hi I'm new .My husband likes Rhode iland reds Chicken breed. Husband had some experience on chickens in 4 h in Missoula mt. We know live. Tocoma Washington are now. We have 3 Chickens .I just wanted to know more on information is all.
 
Welcome to the group. Rhode Island Reds (RIR) are a good breed for your climate and they lay lots of eggs. However, they are better in an all RIR flock as they can become the bullies of a mixed flock. There are lots of great breeds. Following are two excellent breed selection charts. You can use them to find characteristics that suit you and your husband. Start with climate suitability and go from there.
