Chicken breed abbreviations

SC - Single Comb
RC - Rose Comb
SCCL - Sincle Comb Clean Leg
RCCL - Rose Comb Clean Leg
AOCCL - Any Other Comb Clean Leg
ASOP and ASoP - American Standard of Perfestion
SOP and SoP - Standard of Perfestion
APA - American Poultry Association
ABA - American Bantam Association
NPIP - National Poultry Improvement Plan
BBR and BBRed - Black Breasted Red
RIR, R.I. Red and Reds all are short for Rhode Island Red.
EE - Easter Egger

(Overlaping abbreviations)
BR - Barred Rock and Bourbon Red (Turkey)
BLRW - Blue Laced Red Wyandotte and Black Laced Red Wyandotte

Don't forget:

BCM = Black Copper Marans
CM = Cuckoo Marans
GCM = Gold Cuckoo Marans
GLC & SLC = Gold and Silver Laced Cochins
BBS = Black/Blue/Splash
BDK = Black/Dun/Khaki (or is it BCK = Black/Chocolate/Khaki)
WC = White Crested (Polish)
MFD = Mille Fleur D'uccle
PD = Porcelain D'uccle

There's GOT to be like a bazillion more...

This is more BYC speak. Don't assume therse "abbreviations" are used elsewhere in the chicken world.

Other than the class names and the clubs none of these accronyms are used else were there should be one for ameraucanas and cochins! I remember when I first started posting on here I was so confused!
