That doesn’t include the many variations we also call them lol. Tinkie Winkie and Stinky Tinkie are my favorites

The one we call lemongrab has that name because she sounds like an adventure time character with the same name, if you're not familiar I’d look up a vid of him screaming “DUNGEONS!”. That’s exactly what she sounds like.

I can’t post some of the names I call Roxie when she pecks the backs of my knees as hard as she can 😅

Here are the names of my flock:

Cuckoo Marans
-Starlight (nickname: Starry)
-Doodle (nicknames include, but not limited to: Dooby, Doody...)
-Jessica (nickname: Jenny)

Easter Eggers
-Tilly (nickname: Tillifer)
-Lacey (nickname: Lacey Loo)

Speckled Sussex
-Firefly (ncknm: Fiery)
-Tiffany (ncknm: Tiff)

Cinnamon Queen
-Spice (ncknm: Spicy)

Bantam (Nankin?) Mix
-Stella (ncknm: Stelly)

I want this thread to be an open platform for people to talk about their chickens and how their breeds are docile or otherwise.

I have had Golden-Laced Wyandottes before (they passed away) and they always were at the top of the pecking order. They weren’t very friendly to us humans even though we raised them since chicks. 🥺 I think they were just assertive and more interested in scratching in the dirt.

What’s your experience with Wyandottes?
Oh my goodness. I loved my Gold Laced Wyandottes. They were all friendly, even the two roosters. They were however independent, but came if you had treats.

We also used to have Wellsummers. I love them! They were kinda shy, but also friendly. One was higher in the pecking order, but never bully-ish. And their eggs are beautiful and dark and speckled.
I have one Welsummer in a young mixed flock (10 total, 7 pullets). Of the 7 pullets, she is the boss lady. She is especially rude to my sweet speckled Sussex.

Aw. I hate when there’s a mean chicken! 😞 Our speckled Sussex tend to get picked on as well. They are so sweet.
The Wellsummer might just be trying to make up for being the only of her breed in your flock!

The Welsummer actually looks almost identical to one of the Easter Eggers and very much like another Easter Egger.
I was actually wondering though if chickens are bigger bullies, or less, if they are the only one of their kind. I can only get so many, and there are so many beautiful chickens that I need!

I have owned mostly easter eggers,
Most of them have been friendly, one was simply the sweetest, one was an s tier flock leader, one is mischievous, one is calm, curious and has earned her name (Ginkgo was named after Ginko from mushishi and he's very calm. Even as a day old chick Ginkgo just looked like she was calm and sweet), one was skittish, 1 is a little skittish and one was mildly aggressive. 3 of my easter eggers are lakeside eggers, all are friendly, one is loud and dominant (but not a bully), one is quiet and one is the flock helper. My buff orpington is sweet, but a little dumb
