Yes, I'm glad your flock I happy now! Those names are awesome! Some of them made me laugh and I love that. Silly hens need fitting names!

That doesn’t include the many variations we also call them lol. Tinkie Winkie and Stinky Tinkie are my favoritesYes, I'm glad your flock I happy now! Those names are awesome! Some of them made me laugh and I love that. Silly hens need fitting names!
Oh my goodness. I loved my Gold Laced Wyandottes. They were all friendly, even the two roosters. They were however independent, but came if you had treats.I want this thread to be an open platform for people to talk about their chickens and how their breeds are docile or otherwise.
I have had Golden-Laced Wyandottes before (they passed away) and they always were at the top of the pecking order. They weren’t very friendly to us humans even though we raised them since chicks.I think they were just assertive and more interested in scratching in the dirt.
What’s your experience with Wyandottes?
That’s so cool! Thanks for sharing!Oh my goodness. I loved my Gold Laced Wyandottes. They were all friendly, even the two roosters. They were however independent, but came if you had treats.
I have one Welsummer in a young mixed flock (10 total, 7 pullets). Of the 7 pullets, she is the boss lady. She is especially rude to my sweet speckled Sussex. We also used to have Wellsummers. I love them! They were kinda shy, but also friendly. One was higher in the pecking order, but never bully-ish. And their eggs are beautiful and dark and speckled.
Aw. I hate when there’s a mean chicken!I have one Welsummer in a young mixed flock (10 total, 7 pullets). Of the 7 pullets, she is the boss lady. She is especially rude to my sweet speckled Sussex.
The Welsummer actually looks almost identical to one of the Easter Eggers and very much like another Easter Egger.Aw. I hate when there’s a mean chicken! Our speckled Sussex tend to get picked on as well. They are so sweet.
The Wellsummer might just be trying to make up for being the only of her breed in your flock!
I feel the same way!I was actually wondering though if chickens are bigger bullies, or less, if they are the only one of their kind. I can only get so many, and there are so many beautiful chickens that I need!
