Someone told me recently that there is a chicken breed that lays an orange colored egg.
Is that true? What breed is it?

Feathersite is such a great resource...

So,
I found this: Rapanui/Olmec Fowl.

Has anybody ever heard of these guys or knows anything about them?

Both Welsummer and Barnevelder can get a very orangey color if it is the right strain, although your chances are better with Welsummers.

No, it wasn't Welsummers.
I have some of them myself, and know that I had never heard of the breed that apparently laid vivid orange eggs.
Have you guys ever seen/heard of these Olmec fowl?

I have heard of them on Feathersite, and that is about it. (Feathersite is my chicken bible.
