chicken breeders in L.A.?

ive had terrible luck trying to find one on my own. i found one and called them, and when i asked what kind of chickens they had, they said the white ones. :l so any one who knows breeders or is one in the san fernando valley or los angeles areas........

I don't know of any. If I want chicks, my choices are the local feedstore or an online hatchery.

We have a few breeders on BYC in the San Diego and Riverside areas. None that I know of in Los Angeles, though I'm sure ther are.

You may want to call some of the local feed stores (there are several on the west side of Glendale) and ask if they know of any.
There is a seller in Lancaster ~ www.darkeggs.com However, it looks like he's entirely out of chicks! I believe he just sells in the spring, and is not a hatchery per se.
Because I couldn't find anyone selling the chicken breeds I was interested in, I purchased my day old chicks from My Pet Chicken... much more expensive than breeders! But I got the breeds I wanted, and they were really healthy.
