Thanks

alrighty then!!! When would you like to meet? I PROBABLY won't have CHICKS until late April or early May. Will this be okay to meet then nickki99?

Peep7: What I mean by that is that we are getting most of our chicks from hatcheries, but there are some breeds and colors that don't seem to be readily available. Those few that we would prefer to get from breeders are what I originally listed. So I just wanted to know about whether or not it would be difficult to introduce the hatchery chicks to a started cochin pullet once the hatchery chicks are a month old. Sorry, I guess I am not making much sense! lol.

SilkieChicken: Thanks for posting that great information on shipping and boxes! It was quite interesting and I will probably refer back to it often!

O!!!!! O.k!! Sorry, I wasn't quite sure what you meant. Yeah that should be fine, you can introduce a starter pullet to chicks, except you may have to keep them separated for a little longer than a month because the starter pullet might squish the chicks. I would wait till the chicks are are at least a month and a half. It probably wouldn't be much of a problem cause cochins are known for being mama's so she might take the chicks as her own, you'll just have to see. It'll be expensive to ship, so I won't charge TOO much for the pullet cause I know how it is to want something then you gotta pay 5 million gagillion dollars to get it.

Much appreciated Peep! Alrighty then, now I know who I will be getting my white cochin from ( if and when we get chickens in the spring)!!! Ok so, now that we have that part smoothed out, anyone else breed anything on my list??? Here is a reiteration...

I am looking for White Orpington, Blue Partridge Brahma, Golden Pheonix, Showgirl, Frizzled Turken, Black Turken, White Turken, Buff Turken, Buff Brahma, Dark Brahma, Egyptian Fayoumi, and Maran.

The ones that I am the most interested in getting from breeders are the Showgirl, the Frizzled Turken, the Egyptian Fayoumi, the Blue Partridge Brahma, and the Golden Pheonix.

By the way, are Blue Partridge Brahmas even available in the US??? I have seen pics on Feathersite but I think that they were from Europe. Thanks all!!!
