Chicken breeding

Hi, I have a white silky rooster and a Maran hen that I got a fertile egg from, I was wondering what it might looking like, I'm hoping for another silky, thank you

First generation silky/normal feathered birds are normal feathered with a small crest somewhat darkened skin and five toes. The pullets are also great broody hens, and some of the cockerels are quite striking.

I say give that egg a shot and see what happens...it will be like a surprise package. Sourland's had a lot of experience raising birds so he's probably right.

Good luck and if your egg does hatch, let us know (or share a picture) what you get.

First you'll want to be sure you're in the forum you want to post on. Hover your cursor over the Forum tab and a drop down will show up. Select which forum you want to post on.

Toward the top left of each screen (under the logo & Home tab), you'll see two boxes...the blue one is to post a reply and the white box is to start a new thread.

**The FAQ is a good place to learn about using the site. You can find a link to FAQ at the very bottom of the screen (the last line in the brown box).**
