Which chicken breed's are better to own? Isa Brown's or Hyline Brown's?

They're both high production hybrids, bred to lay earlier, lay hard and often die early from that.

I believe that Hylines must be purchased in large quantities. If thats the case, most backyards poultry people and homesteaders, would probably get the ISA Browns.

I think this is pretty much like the Red Star, Golden Comet, Gold sex link chickens. They are all production layers/hybrids. I had three. One passed around 3.5 yrs, one at 5, and the other around 9. They were excellent layers of large brown eggs, never went broody, and had a wonderful temperament.

My ISA Browns are almost indistinguishable from my Golden Comet. All are red sex-link production layers, lay one extra large brown egg per day with occasional speckles. My Golden Comet is slightly smaller, but within the variation expected from individual chickens. Otherwise, there's practically no difference that I can tell. Granted, I only have 4 ISA Browns and 1 Golden Comet. If I didn't know they were different, I'd assume they were all the same "breed".
