I turned my ladies out in a pasture I was mowing yesterday. There were bugs and crickets everywhere. I don't think they actually ate many, there were running from one to the other, then they would spy another and off they would go. They had a field day. They must have gained a pound each. They even stay out longer than normal. I finally had to gather up two and put them in the coop. I think they would have stayed at the buffet line all night. They loved the mowed clover too.

Oh yes the mower makes easy lunch for my chickens as well. They will follow me to places in our back pasture they wouldn't normally go.

ChickenGeorge, having free range chickens is a delight that never ends. Hens and roos able to live the way it was ment to be is priceless.

Glad things are going well for you and your pretty hennies.

Oh, I love to watch the chickens free range!! They find so many interesting things! They are so much more healthy than confined chickens! They have a much darker yolk, and They seem happier. Merry
