I don't currently have any chickens that have passed away (thankfully!) but I'm curious about something for when they do: those of you who bury your chickens, how do you not run out of space? Can you bury a chicken where another one was buried before after a certain amount of time?

I have plenty of space to bury animals on my property. What I have learned is to bury them at least 2 feet down, or else inside my fenced in garden.

A :duc raccoon dug up the chicken I buried near, not in, my blue berry patch, which is fenced in.

Burying a chicken in a compost would be better. But if you don't have one anywhere is suitable it just needs to be deep like Sally said.
