Just passing along some inforamtion regarding cages for chickens and etc. A couple in Bluffton Indiana area has contracted with a recently closed chicken/egg factory for their cages. The cages are $20.00 for 10' length. The cages are 2'x2'x1'. The deviders between sections are moveable so you can make a cage 2'x'2'x2' or up to the full length of 10'. The cages were originally 20' long but a bit long to handle well. Some have the waters still in them. They do have a front tray to either collect an egg or feed. I must state that I do not support mass caging of animals! But--I am planning to use the one I got to open it up on each end as a bigger caged area and to use for isolation of sick birds. I will keep a "neutral area" in the middle to hold medicines and such. Also will be mounted on wall in barn so that I can access and to see the bird/birds better. I am also looking at how to make a cage out of them for transporting any birds I buy. If interested PM me and I will pass along his contact information. Thanks

wow if only it weren't 2 1/2 hours away I would buy at least 2 of these, would be great to turn into intermediate pens for my young birds before they are ready to be in a big run!

How big is the wire spacing? They sound like they would be good for quail
