So maybe we are taking this chicken hobby a little too far. That's what I thought when I hooked up (with my son's help) a live internet camera in the coop so I could check on our 4 girls on my phone or any computer when we weren't home. I could look at them in the middle of the night if a thunder storm rolled through. But it doesn't seem strange for my wife and I.
Then because of "chicken math" we got 5 more peeps this spring. And so (again with the help of my son) I hooked up camera 2. Now we have 2 views. One of inside the coop and the other is a view of the pen. They both have night vision and you can move the camera back and forth, and up and down, from any location. Plus, they were cheap enough. They start at around $50 plus network cabling if you need it. It all seems perfectly normal to us
Does anyone else have a "chicken cam"?
Here are the websites if you want to have a peek:
http://chickencam.dyndns-ip.com:81/ for the inside camera and http://chickencam.dyndns-ip.com:82/ for the outside camera. Username is visitor for both, leave the password blank.
