so today i noticed one of my chickens isn’t able to stand up or walk. i think she has some kind of bacteria or disease. does anyone know what it could be?? and also how to treat it naturally? i prefer not to medicate my chickens.

How old is your chicken? Does she lay eggs, and when did she lay last? Have her eggs been normal? What does her poop look like? Is her crop empty or full, hard or soft? Is she eating and drinking? Why do you think she has an infection? Can you post any pictures?

she is probably around 2 months. she hasn’t started laying yet. her poop is like diarrhea. she is eating and drink. i put her by the food so she was able to. she just lays there and when we wants to move she can barely stand and she can’t really walk anywhere

It might be coccidiosis. Where are you located? Can you get Corid or amprollium where you live? That is a good treatment. In some countries, sulfa antibiotics or toltrazuril may also be used. In the US, Corid can be found at mist feed stores. Dosage is 2 tsp per gallon of water for 5 days.

If you can’t go get any corid get her some electrolytes ASAP mix honey and sugar in water she’ll get worse If she has no energy and separate her immediately and make sure the rest are ok don’t let her near any other animals if it is coxidiosis
