Chicken can’t walk

My rooster is a 3 yr old buff Orpington. About a month ago he started limping on his right leg. It got better but not completely. I thought it was an injury. He still ate, drank and normal behavior. This last week , I was on vacation, and came back to him not walking at all. I treated for scaly leg mites but wasn’t convinced this was the issue. He is using wings and beak to flop around. Not eating or drinking much. None of hens are affected. Ci ya Ted get this morning. Waiting to hear back. Please help.

Hello! Can you check the right side near his thigh and see if you see any bruising? He may have internal bleeding.

I did not see anything like that. I handled him quite a bit yesterday soaking to treat for the mites. He did not appear in pain. I’m not sure he has mites. Doesn’t look like the pictures but it could be a mild case. Not what I would think would prevent weight bearing. Have appt with vet Wednesday.

It's hard to see sometimes if you're holding and looking at it. It would be on the thigh and then toward his breast bone on the right side. There's so many feathers there.
